Penlee lifeboat station provides a 24-hour lifesaving service for those in danger on the water.

Penlee has a remarkable history of bravery with the lifeboat crews being presented with 44 awards for gallantry during its 200-year history.

The station has also witnessed tragedy with nine lifeboat crew losing their lives saving others at sea.

Penlee Lifeboat crew have raised over £5500 pounds from the 125 cycle ride and the car washes at the Inshore Boathouse and the Wharfside carpark in Penzance, this is a fantastic amount raised with more money coming in each day, this amount will be put towards new crew lifejackets, on behalf of all the crew thankyou to all who donated ( new photos in images )
